Tyler Gildin is an award-winning Filmmaker and Executive Producer with an expertise in overseeing digital properties, guiding top-level creatives and consulting with brands to develop and produce content that resonates with a highly engaged audience.

As one of the earliest employees of the premiere millennial publication Elite Daily, Tyler was instrumental in the site’s overall growth from early development to acquisition by DMGT Media in 2015 as well as Bustle Digital Group in 2017. As Executive Producer, Tyler was responsible for overseeing all creative, strategy, development and production of original and branded video content. Tyler and his team excelled in all genres including short-form, long form, scripted, documentary, and social content. Tyler oversaw the launch of 15+ original series as well as the execution of branded content initiatives for 20+ brands including T-Mobile, Burger King, Stoli, and The CW. Under his direction, Elite Daily won 4 New York Emmy Awards for Short Documentaries as well as one nomination and five Official Honorees for Webby Awards.

Since his time at Elite Daily, Tyler has remained a leader in the digital space. He has served as Executive Producer on two series for the media publication Inverse, that premiered as part of the initial Facebook Watch launch, Showrunner for Thrillist Media Group’s travel series Gatekeepers as well as most recently Co-Executive Producer for Travel + Leisure’s Meet Me In The Middle. He also produced and hosted the Team Whistle’s podcast No Days Off, where each episode he interviewed a parent of a young sports prodigy to discuss what it’s like raising a child in the spotlight.

Tyler established Gildin Media in 2017 to expand his portfolio of consulting with brands and digital publishers. His roster of clients has included popular and in demand brands such as Bombas, Lalo, Banza, Baked By Melissa, and Enlightened. Tyler’s overall mission is to develop and oversee creative initiatives for Gildin Media’s clients as well as develop and produce original in-house productions. He has both an enthusiasm for narrative storytelling and an expertise of social packaging, always pushing to innovate and optimize content for mobile consumption.

In 2020 Gildin Media released its first documentary, The Starfish, based on Tyler’s late grandfather’s life. The film has received international press, screening at 8 festivals, including the Syracuse International Film Festival where it won the Audience Award for Short Films Documentary. The film’s distributor is Virgil Films, and is now available for download on AppleTV, Prime, Vimeo on Demand, Vudu and Google Play.

Gildin Media recently ventured into the podcast space, launching Father Material in late 2021, a podcast focused on exploring how fatherhood impacts one’s creative process and path. Hosted by Tyler, each episode consists of a conversation with another prominent creative to discuss how becoming a father has impacted their creative process, their perspective and ultimately the material that they create.

Tyler’s creative direction, communication skills and passion for storytelling are what makes Gildin Media a driving force in content creation.
